South African Rooibos Tea
Rooibos is an Afrikaans word meaning “red bush” and it is pronounced ROY-boss. Like many herbal teas, rooibos tea is caffeine-free and contains even more antioxidants than green tea. Rooibos is so nutrient dense you could almost consider it a super food. Rooibos tea contains: Copper, Iron, Potassium, Calcium, Fluoride, Zinc, Manganese, Alpha-hydroxy & Magnesium. It brews to a deep reddish brown color and has a delightful nutty taste. It can be served either hot or cold, iced rooibos tea is especially refreshing on a hot summer day, great for kids of all ages. Antioxidant rich, high vitamin content makes this an excellent alternative to sugar filled soft drinks. In Japan, Rooibos is called “Long Life Tea” and considered an anti-ageing beverage.
